My first day at C2E2 in Chicago was an amazing experience and day number two was even better. There were great panels, photo ops and the chance to meet and greet both new friends and people I have been a fan of for years.

Day 2

Don’t You Forget About Me: The Breakfast Club 40th Anniversary Reunion

As a child of the 80’s, the cast of The Breakfast Club has been an integral part of my life. Seeing them together again at this panel was a once in a lifetime experience. Boasting stars Molly Ringwald, Emilio Estevez, Anthony Michael Hall, Judd Nelson and Ally Sheedy, the stars of the John Hughes classic took to the Main Stage where they regaled the crowd with stories from the set as well as personal behind the scenes experiences and the cultural impact The Breakfast Club has had on popular culture for decades.

The panel was incredibly fun and filled with energy from both the panelists and the fans who not only listened, but got the chance to interact with the cast with not only their questions, but also at autograph and photo op sessions throughout the weekend.

The Thrilling Adventure Hour 20th Anniversary

The Thrilling Adventure Hour podcast has consistently been one of my favorite audio experiences so I was excited to not only see this insanely talented group of improvisers and comedians in person at a show they performed the night before, but sitting in their panel was a huge thrill. Anchored by TAH creators Ben Acker and Ben Blacker, the panel was lively with tales of the early days of the show and how everyone became a part of it with quips and stories from stars Paul F. Thompkins, Annie Savage, Janet Varney, Craig Cackowski, Hal Lublin, Marc Evan Jackson, Jonathan Dinerstein and Autumn Reeser.

As a longtime fan of the show, I loved experiencing this panel as well as asking the cast a question. I also want to thank Hal Lublin for sticking around to take a few pictures after the panel as well.

Kyle Higgins Presents: Radiant Black, The Massive-Verse and More!

The Massive-Verse is back and entering the Rebuild era. Joe Clark, Kyle Higgins and Ryan Parrott were on hand to talk about all things Radiant Black, Rogue Sun and more including teasing more media from the Massive-Verse including an audiobook series voiced by Will Friedle, Rider Strong and Ross Marquand. Artist Dan Mora was also on hand to tease his upcoming six series Immortal Legend: Batman series and show some awesome character designs.

Critical Role Group Cosplay Photo Meetup

Rounding out my second day at the con with a massive meetup of my fellow Critters (Critical Role Fans) for a truly epic photo shoot that would certainly get the attention of the gods of Exandria. Spearheaded by awesome cosplayers Christian (@shadowkillion) and Kayla (@asheneyed), Critical Role cosplayers spanning all three campaigns and more gathered to show our love of all things CR with an amazing photo shoot. I got to meet and spend time with some awesome people and marvel at the creativity and care they put into their cosplay expression. It was brilliantly organized, inclusive and all around fun. This is definitely one of the reasons why I love cons and why C2E2 is one of the best.
